Overview

My desire to perfectly mix practicality and style inspired the creation of GoKit. Personal care and hygiene, which is often overlooked in design, became the focus of my project. My goal as a designer was to create a sophisticated self-care companion that would fit in well with modern lifestyles and satisfy people's constant need for freshness when they're on the go.

GoKit addresses the challenges of maintaining personal freshness and hygiene in today's fast-paced world by providing a seamless and portable self-care kit companion. In a market filled with various self-care products, GoKit stands out as a solution to confusion, inconsistency, and the inconvenience of carrying these items individually.

The Solution

GoKit presents a personal hygiene solution with six individually crafted slices, resembling an orange. Each slice contains essential items like mouthwash, lip balm, deodorant, perfume, hand sanitizer, and face spray.The compact, orange-shaped design is easy to carry, fits comfortably in your hand, and can be placed anywhere. Each slice is a press-and-pick solution, ensuring effortless access to specific self-care items.

Design Process

1. Inspiration

GoKit arose from recognizing gaps in current personal care and hygiene products. Driven by a genuine desire to enhance daily self-care, it fills a market void with innovative solutions for a more convenient and thoughtful approach to a healthy lifestyle.

2. Conceptualization

Thinking up GoKit was like figuring out how to make personal care easier and smarter. It started with imagining a kit that puts all your daily essentials in one handy place. I doodled and thought about what it should look like and how it should work, aiming to create something simple, user-friendly, and practical for everyday hygiene.

3. Material Selection

GoKit, made of silicone and plastic, has a modern and durable appearance. There is tiny, hidden magnets inside each slice to securely attach them to one another. Also, the outer sides, like a protective shield, not only enhance the style but also ensure durability. If it slips, it has a built-in bounce-back feature, demonstrating its simplicity, style, and durability.

4. Functionality

GoKit's design centers on your ease. From effortlessly pulling out each slice to the straightforward refill process, every detail is tailored for simplicity. More than grooming tools, GoKit transforms your daily routine into an easy and enjoyable experience.
